American Academy is a network of American international schools inspired by the best international education concepts from around the world, including the freedom to choose subjects, an approach to each student as an individual, subjects divided according to achievement rather than age, an emphasis on practical learning, project-based teaching and Theme Weeks. All classes are taught in English and led by a team of teachers from all over the world.
The American Academy curriculum is based on the American school system, which allows students to choose the subjects they want to study and specialize in the area they want to focus on later in life.
Along with the American curriculum, American Academy also focuses on Theme Weeks inspired by teaching in Finland. During Theme Weeks, the whole school comes together to work on a project on a single unifying theme.

Pražské humanitní gymnázium
Pražské humanitní gymnázium is a Czech humanities grammar school, with a strong emphasis on languages, history, geography, social sciences and sustainable development. We teach science and mathematics through experimentation and exploration, and we draw on both classical teaching and alternative methods, especially from the Scandinavian and Finnish school systems.
We teach through projects
We take inspiration from project-based learning, as projects teach students critical thinking, independence, cooperation and responsibility. Project topics across all subjects are linked to the curriculum and are based on learning in context, an individual approach to each student and direct communication.
